The goal
of Garden of Learning is to
create school gardens as outdoor classrooms
for every child on campus. |
Garden of Learning is a system and curriculum for starting and sustaining elementary school garden programs. |
Children are led in small groups to the garden every
week, where they raise crops while learning lessons in
science, math, reading and language arts, fine arts, nutrition,
social studies, environmental studies and agriculture.

Garden
of Learning was designed to sustain the school garden program
and not burden teachers with extra work. |
The program makes
extensive use of volunteer garden parents. It is perfect
for schools that want to build lasting gardens with limited funds. |
The system is designed
to be extremely flexible for schools and easy for
teachers. |
